As it is coming up to the last week of term for the majority of schools, I thought it would be nice to add some Easter themed MFL resources to be used in the classroom- these can be used in spare time throughout the school day or as a way to support a general languages lesson.
One main resource that always gets a good response no matter the age group is a wordsearch. These can be easily created in a word document or you can find some ready-made on websites such as Pinterest and TES. Some of my favourites for this are:
A resource created by rachelswann on TES. This is a French resource using lots of Easter themed words and can be appropriate for KS1 and KS2.
A resource created by emmavjw on TES. It is a Spanish resource that includes a wordsearch among other useful activities.
Some classes, particularly KS1 and lower KS2 also enjoy learning songs in the language they are learning. malahenry on TES has put up a Spring song in both French and Spanish which is fairly easy and fun to learn as part of an end-of-term languages lesson.
For KS2 it might be worth going into the history of how that particular country celebrates Easter. farrellcj on TES has created two powerpoints- one Spanish and one French- to give an insight into how the countries celebrate Easter.

Of course classes also love creating Easter cards- these can be to go home to give to family or, if you have a link to a school abroad, it can be sent as a form of correspondence over that link. After a search online there are a few templates available but it may be useful creating your own design depending on the ability level within your class and the resources available to you.
